Our conference is one of the inaugural events to celebrate the opening of The California Endowment's new offices and conference center. The complex was designed by the award-winning architecture firm Rios Clementi Hale Studios to create an open, inviting and contemporary multi-purpose facility that complements this historic culturally diverse area of the city. The beautiful buildings and courtyard are enhanced by artwork that creates an extraordinary environment.

Transportation from the conference hotel to the conference site

The Center for Healthy Communities is about a mile from the Omni, the conference hotel. However, because of traffic patterns we recommend not walking.

Taxis from downtown Los Angeles hotels to the conference site are about $10.

The city bus (the DASH) goes to Union Station, which is about a block from the conference site. It costs 25 cents and runs about every 15 minutes. Check with the hotel concierge for the bus stop nearest your hotel.

The subway goes to Union Station. Check with the hotel concierge for the subway stop nearest your hotel.

After the conference

If you plan to return home on the evening of the conference, you may bring your luggage to the conference site and store it in a secure room there. You should arrange to leave downtown 2 1⁄2 hours before your flight out of LAX. Call ahead to have the shared ride service or a taxi to pick you up at the conference site at 4:00 pm for flights leaving LAX after 6:30 pm.
