Creating Space is a 30 minute documentary, created by filmmaker and artist Nathan H. Young IV. This film allows audiences to visualize the programs, places and people in the six model programs that are featured at the conference.
Nathan H. Young IV (Pawnee/Delaware/Kiowa), filmmaker and artist, is a 2005 Fellow in the "Program for Media Artists," funded in part by the Rockefeller Foundation.
Nathan works in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and is the founder of Native Airspace, a collective of Native artists committed to addressing contemporary American Indian issues and experiences.
Nathan is also a co-founder
of the Oklahoma Native Education Institute, a non-profit organization that
is an advocate for American Indian language and culture in education.
Nathan is now producing a high-definition Pawnee language animation, Kits-pa-rux-ti: The Wonderful River, the story of the origin of Pawnee Medicine Societies.
